About the event
The event is free and open to all Snohomish County residents, with donations to the Mukilteo Food Bank strongly encouraged.
Save the Food Fest is organized by WSU Snohomish County Extension’s Sustainable Community Stewards, Agricultural Program, and SNAP-ED Program.
Event Details
Visitors can attend two workshops and participate in a host of educational activities during the event.
• 11 a.m. – 12 p.m. Rosy Smit, Agricultural Coordinator for WSU Snohomish County Extension, will teach attendees to preserve and store food properly, including a demo of a quick pickling recipe anyone can do.
• 12 p.m. – 1 p.m. Free time to partake in the Fest’s art and recipe contests, worm compost bin, kitchen supplies raffle, and trivia.
